When people think of Christmas they tend to draw up images of Santa, elves, reindeer and Christmas Trees, but also high on that list is gingerbread. And while we all love to roll up our sleeves, bring out the cookie cutters and pretend that we can whip up the finest gingerbread creation you have ever seen, we are put to shame by the National Gingerbread Showcase in Victoria, Canada.
Until January 1st, professional and amateur chefs will pull out all the stops to ensure that they have the finest gingerbread house around!
The organizers are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity, an international charity that builds homes for low-income families around the world, to raise funds. The gingerbread houses must be entirely made from edible ingredients and the house with the most facebook LIKES will win it’s creator a brunch for two. The final count will be taken on January 1st, so get your vote on!
