Today we are going to celebrate subcultures and what better an event to chose then the Whitby Goth Weekend!
Founded in 1994, the Goth Weekend bring a splash of colour (or lack thereof) to the little English town each October as thousands travel from across the world to attend this growing celebration of the alternative. It’s not just Goths that attend either; punks, emos, bikers, metalheads and steampunks all turn up to enjoy music, dancing and shopping.
Oh, and did we mention it starts on Halloween? Well, it does, so expect some spooky shenanigans to kick the festivities off! Partial proceeds from some of the shopping activities will go towards the Bat Conservation Trust. Aww.
